DHAKA: M. Ghaziul Haque, Chairman of Eastern Bank Ltd., and Mir Nasir Hossain, Director of the bank, hand over donation cheques for four crore to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at a simple ceremony at Gonobhaban on May 15. 

Safiar Rahman, Deputy Managing Director and Company Secretary was also present on the occasion.

The donations were given to Prime Minister’s Education Assistance Trust and Suchona Foundation as part of the bank’s CSR activities. M. Ghaziul Haque is the Chairman of MGH Group, a Bangladeshi conglomerate, as well.
