DHAKA: Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith has said that the budget for the 2018-19 Fiscal Year will be of approximately Tk 4, 68,000 crores.

“Human resource development sector will be prioritized in the budget. Heath, education, sanitation and housing have included in it. The budget for the next FY will be of highest Tk  4, 68000 crores. It may be less than the amount but won’t go beyond of it”, said the minister.

Muhith was addressing a post-budget discussion, at the state guest house Padma Monday evening (January 29).

“Our strong point is social security. We allocate much in this sector each year. It was Tk 21,500 crores this FY”, he added.
