Gold prices fall again

DHAKA: After a month of break, gold prices have dropped again by Tk 1,166 per bhori in Bangladesh in line with the international market. On the contrary, traditional gold price remains unchanged.

Bangladesh Jewellers Samity (BJS) announced it on Thursday (July 19). The revised price will be effective from Friday (July 20).

As per the new price, 22-karat gold per bhori (11.664 grams) will be sold at Tk 48,639 against the previous rate of Tk 49,805 while 21-karat at Tk 46,365 against Tk 47, 5531 and 18-karat at Tk 41,291 against Tk 42,457.

However, Traditional gold is to be sold at Tk 27,585 per bhori from. 

The BJS release also added that the price of per bhori silver has been remain unchanged at Tk 1,050.

General Secretary of Bangladesh Jewellers Samity (BJS) Dilip Kumar Agarwala said new gold price has been fixed as price fell in international market. He urged everyone to sell gold at new price rate until next decision is taken.
