‘Economy won’t be affected even if new govt comes’ Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith

DHAKA: Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith on Sunday (Sept 23) said the progress earned in the country’s economy won’t be affected even if a new government comes to power through the upcoming national election.

Muhith was addressing a seminar on the challenges and ways of ascension to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), at Sonargaon hotel.

“The polls will be held within next three months. The recent economic growth won’t be influenced even if a new government comes to rule after winning the polls,” he said.

“Besides, the polls won’t create any hurdles for the regional trade,” he added.

The minister also underscored the need of sustainable development for the country’s economic growth.
