Stocks witness fall Thursday

DHAKA: Country’s stock markets marked fall in its price indices on Thursday, the last trading day of the week.

The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, shed over 18 points only to stand at 4,118 at the close of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 1,28,183 with volume of transactions at Tk 4,851 million.

Of the issues traded, 123 advanced, 139 declined and 26 remained unchanged.

CMCKAMAL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 222 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were BSCCL, BSC, UNITEDAIR, JAMUNAOIL, OLYMPIC, JMISMDL, MPETROLEUM, RNSPIN and MAKSONSPIN.  

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8,983 by dropping over 46 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 78 gained, 126 declined and 15 remained unchanged.
