DHAKA: Investors witnessed rise in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses – Dhaka Stock Exchange and Chittagong Stock Exchange- on Wednesday (December 5), the fourth trading session of the week.

DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), acquired over 15.68 points or 0.29 percent to stand at 5361.11 points at the end of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 160,823 with the transaction over Tk 6,795.94 million. Of the issues traded, 176 advanced, 131 declined and 33 remained unchanged.

Dragon Sweater and Spinning Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 333.20 million having changed hands on the day.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CASPI, the overall share index of the port city bourse, gained over 29.09 points to stand at 10787.85 points.

Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 114 gained, 105 declined and 28 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 297.73 million.
