DHAKA: Bangladesh Bank (BB) instructed all commercial banks to keep sufficient money in their ATM booths aiming to ensure an uninterrupted transition during holidays for upcoming national election. 

BB Payment Systems Department General Manager Lila Rashid on Thursday (Dec 27) sent a circular to the chief executive officers of all the banks.

The notification directs to keep sufficient money in their ATM booths Point of Sale, and E-Payment Gateway aiming to ensure an uninterrupted transition, during polls holidays.

According to the circular, One Type Password (OTP) has to be kept for running E-Payment Gateway card-based transactions.

The central bank also asked all banks to send messages and to keep helpline services to the door steps of all the clients.
