DHAKA: Bangladesh Bank (BB) is likely to announce its Monetary Policy for the second half of the financial year 2018-19 (FY19) on January 30.

At a programme, with BB governor Fazle Kabir in the chair, the Monetary Policy Statement (MPS) will be announced at Jahangir Alam Conference Hall of the central bank around 11:30am.

GM Abul Kalam Azad, General Manager of Department of Communications and Publications of Bangladesh Bank and assistant spokesperson of the bank, said the governor and others officers of the bank will respond to the queries from reporters on the monetary policy. 

Chief Economist of BB, its Change Management Adviser, Deputy Governor, Executive Director, general manager and officials concerned of the Monetary Policy will attend the programme.

The Monetary Policy Statement (MPS) for the second half of the financial year 2018-19 (January-June ‘19) will be released at the programme.
