BARISAL: A mobile court here in separate drives fined four brick kilns Tk 7 lakh for operating without any government permission.

The mobile court, led by Executive Magistrate Md Mozammel Haque Chowdhury, conducted the drives in Doaria area of Babuganj upazila on Wednesday (Feb 13).

Of the four brick kilns, M/s Fine Bricks, M/s Salam Bricks were fined Tk 2 lakh each while M/s Master Bricks Tk 1 lakh  and M/s Akan Bricks Tk 2.5 lakh.

Md Mozammel Haque Chowdhury told Banglanews that the drive carried out by the district administration against illegal brick kilns will continue.

He also thanked different law enforcement agencies for their cooperation in the drive.

A team of Rapid Action Batalion-8 and a unit of fire service joined the drive.
