DHAKA: Key share price index in the country’s both bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- closed week on positive note on Thursday (Feb 14).

DSE turnover has reached Tk 9323.70 million changed hands while Wednesday’s turnover was Tk 7126.45 million.

DSEX, the DSE benchmark index, gained 1.97 points, or 0.03 per cent, to reach 5,750.29 at the close of day’s trading.

The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) also advanced 0.12 points or 0.009 per cent to close at 1311.44. 

But the DS30 comprising blue chips shed over 4.23 points or 0.21 per cent to close at 1,999.08 points.

Of the issues traded, 160 gained, 148 declined and 39 remained unchanged in the last trading session of the week.

Fortune Shoes Limited topped the chart of turnover leaders with a value of Tk 750.28 million followed by UPDCL, SIMTEX, NURANI, BSCCL, PTL, SKTRIMS, MUNNOCERA, GLOBALINS and SHURWID.

The day’s top five gainers at the DSE were CENTRALINS, GLOBALINS, PURABIGEN    , EASTERNINS and AIL.

The CSE overall share index, CASPI, also went up by 3.55 points to reach 17,602.27 at the close today.
     
Of the 270 issues traded, 134 advanced, 108 suffered loss and 28 remained unchanged.

The value of the traded issues was Tk 341.32 million on Thursday.
