DHAKA: Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) late mayor Annisul Huq’s wife Rubana Huq is running for the president post of BGMEA (Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association).

Her son Navidul Huq confirmed the matter on a Facebook post Saturday (Mar 2).

On behalf of Rubana, Navidul has submitted the nomination form for the polls.

He expressed hope his mother could win the presidential race of the national trade organization of garments manufacturers.

However, the polls to BGMEA Board of Directors is scheduled for Apr 6.
