DHAKA: Germany expressed interest to assemble BMW or Mercedes-Benz brand cars in Bangladesh, said Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal.
The minister briefed reporters at his office in the capital after wrapping up a meeting with a delegation of German businessmen on Monday (September 9).
He said: “Germany is keen to assemble BMW or Mercedes-Benz brand cars in Bangladesh like in Thailand. This means cars of such brands need not to be imported. These cars can be bought in Bangladesh at low cost.”
