DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Wednesday.

The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 26 points to stand at 3,954 at the close on the forth trading day of the week.

The volume of transactions stood Tk 2,866 million 88,629 with trade deals.   

Of the issues traded, 208 advanced, 52 declined and 28 remained unchanged.

ENVOYTEX topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 124 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were BSCCL, ARGONDENIM, UNITEDAIR, SQURPHARMA, CMCKAMAL, JMISMDL, BSC, RNSPIN and DELTALIFE.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 7,712 by gaining over 41 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 147 gained, 57 declined and 17 remained unchanged.
