Onion crisis to be over soon: PM Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina

GANABHABAN:  Amid ongoing onion crisis countrywide, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said it will be over soon.

“There will be no more onion crisis. It's temporary. It will be okay within a few days. Already, enough onions have arrived. More to come,” the premier told a press conference at her Ganabhaban official residence in Dhaka on Tuesday (October 29).

The press conference held about her recent Azerbaijan visit to join the Non-Align Movement (NAM) Summit.

The Prime Minister humorously said she cooks foods without onion. Some food can be cooked without onion.

Regarding stock of onions, she said who's storing onions. How long can they put the government at stake? Onions will be rotten, can’t be preserved for long.
