DHAKA: The Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) imposed a ban on sale, distribution and advertising of 43 products of different brands, including Danish, Suresh, Promi and Pubali Salt.

Besides, show-cause notices were also served in this regard, said a BSTI release on Monday.

Earlier on April 25, the BSTI banned 17 products of 12 companies asking them to refrain from selling, distributing and commercial advertising of the products.

The regulatory body also directed the companies to recall their goods from the market.
