DHAKA: The authorities of Sir Salimullah Medical College (SSMC) on Wednesday afternoon declared the college closed for an indefinite period and asked all the students to leave the halls by 7:00am Thursday.
The decision was taken from a meeting of the academic council on Wednesday noon for the clash between apprentice doctors, fourth class workers of the college and students on Tuesday.
On Tuesday morning, clash erupted between the students, apprentice doctors and fourth class workers due to a trifle matter of altercation of apprentice doctors with a fourth class worker of the blood testing lab.
There are three hostels, including a hall for female students.
