Rokeya varsity ex-VC sued

RANGPUR: Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) filed a corruption case against former vice-chancellor of Rangpur Begum Rokeya University Dr Abdul Jalil Mia and acting registrar Shahjahan Ali Mondol.

Rangpur ACC office deputy director M Abdul Karim filed the case with Kotwali Thana on Thursday.

The case statement said the vice-chancellor had recruited 674 staffs instead of 285 circulated posts with the help of acting registrar Shahjahan Ali Mandal and earned huge illegal money.

Officer-in-Charge of Kotwali Thana Shahabuddin Khalifa confirmed the matter to banglanews.
