DHAKA: Dhaka University (DU) authorities are going to open two new departments--Applied Mathematics and Communication Disorder--from current session 2014-2015.

Director of DU Public Relations Department Dr Nur-E-Islam said, “Considering the demand of the country, the authorities have decided to open these two departments and took permission from University Grants Commission (UGC).”

He also said there would be a meeting of admission test committee where it would be decided about the number of students to be admitted into these departments.

The committee would also decide whether Masters and Honors programs or only Masters would be introduced in the current academic session.
