No headmaster at 100 govt pry schools in Rangpur

RANGPUR: Most of the government primary schools in Rangpur have been running without headmaster.

Over one hundred schools in eight upazilas of the district lack the headmaster while over 50 schools lack assistant teacher that has been hampering the study of the students.

Rangpur district primary education office sources said that the post of head teacher has remained vacant for a long time at 123 government primary schools and the post of assistant teacher at 60 schools as well.

The lack of teachers is hampering the study of students. So, many of the students have already left schools, complained the guardians.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, district primary school official Shahjahan Ali said that the promotion of head teachers were halted due to a case in the Supreme Court but they have recently started the promotion for the post of head teachers.
