41 schools’ exam postponed over question leak

LALMONIRHAT: The authorities concerned have postponed ongoing final examinations of all 41 high schools at Aditmari upazila of the district reportedly over question leak.

Sources told banglanews that the Upazila Teachers’ Association has taken the decision Saturday morning.

They, however, after taking the decision, has also postponed mathematics examination of class six, seven and nine to be held on the day, sources added.

Confirming the matter, Aditmari Upazila Teachers’ Association’s general secretary Mozammel Haque told banglanews that the final examination of 2014 of all the 41 high schools of eight unions under the upazila was going on simultaneously following the same routine and question paper.

But, according to him, later they had postponed the examination following a rumor that the question paper was leaked.

“We have already formed a committee to probe the matter,” he added. “They have already started their investigation on the matter.”

On the other hand, upazila nirbahi officer (UNO) Jahurul Islam and upazila secondary education officer Manzurul Haque are not informed about postponement of the examination.

The Aditmari UNO told banglanews that he would take ‘steps’ after looking into the matter.
