IU admission postponed for indefinite period

ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY: Admission process of honors first-year under 2014-15 academic session of Islamic University (IU) has been postponed for indefinite period.

The university administration on Wednesday announced the postponement after its central admission committee meeting, chaired by IU vice-chancellor (VC) and admission committee head Professor Dr Abdul Hakim.

The new date for admission will be declared later, said an IU administration source.

Dr Abdul Hakim said that the interview for new admission seekers and other admission processes will remain suspended until the situation becomes normal.

On November 30, the administration declared the university closed for indefinite time following the death of a student of its Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering Department in a road accident.
