DHAKA: The government asked the schools and colleges to let their students, who have 70 percent class attendance, to sit for SSC and HSC examinations, even if they fail in test exams.

A circular signed by education secretary M Nazrul Islam Khan made the disclosure Tuesday.

According to the circular, the authorities concerned have also been directed to monitor whether teachers and educational institutions are liable for bad results of students.

Besides, education ministry asked heads of non-government educational institutions and chairmen of governing body to submit evaluation report after all public examinations.
