PM promises medical varsity in Sylhet

FROM SYLHET: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina promised to establish a medical university in Sylhet division.

She made this promise at a rally organized by the local unit of ruling Awami League, on Alia Madrasa premises on Thursday (January 21).

Moreover, medical universities will be established in every administrative divisions, she added.

‘There was no medical university in Bangladesh. The Awami League established a university. We have decided to establish medical universities in every division. Sylhet will get a medical university soon.’

Upholding her government’s development works, the PM said that a total of 22 development projects have been inaugurated during her visit in Sylhet on the day.

‘We have introduced direct flight between London and Sylhet and added a number of new crafts to the fleet of Biman Bangladesh Airlines to make it more passenger-friendly.’

‘The incumbent government promised to digitalization in the country. We have introduced 3G and 4G will be introduced soon.’

The premier in her speech also slammed opposition BNP saying that the party is involved in destructive activities to halt the development of the country.

Earlier this morning, Sheikh Hasina came to Sylhet to open several development projects.
