South Korea provides 30 PCs at DU central library

DHAKA: The embassy of Republic of Korea in Dhaka is continuously rendering it’s assistance to improve the information and educational environment in central library of Dhaka University (DU) to enhance knowledge about the world.

In this connection, the embassy provided 30 desktop computers in cyber center of DU central library.

Ambassador Ahn Seong doo handed over the computers to DU vice-chancellor Professor Dr AASM Arifin Siddique on Thursday (February 11).

Korean envoy Ahn Seong-doo said, “During the last 42 years, the two countries have enjoyed the excellent relationship. Korea has been and will be an excellent partner of Bangladesh for its development”.

“This initiative is really a highly appreciable move which will help the students to know more about modern world.”

The computers already set up in the cyber center of central library.

The VC Professor Dr AASM Arifin Siddique thanked the Korean government and Korean ambassador for the donation.

“Korea is our development partner and Korean government has been providing assistance help and cooperation at various fields specially education sector of Bangladesh for long time,” he added.
