Bangladeshi students recall their experience in Japan

DHAKA: Twenty-eight Bangladeshi students who returned from their recent 10-day visit to Japan shared their life-time experiences in Japan with ambassador Masato Watanabe.

The visit was a part of the Japan-East Asia Network of Exchanges for Students and Youths (JENESYS) program that has been offered by the Government of Japan since 2007.

This time, the participants visited a disaster prevention center, a waste management company, a water reclamation center, etc, witnessing various measures to address environmental and energy issues.

At the same time, they immersed themselves in Japanese culture and society through a range of experiences, such as homestay and school visits.

Homestay was one of the most popular programs during the 10-day stay in Japan.

“The host family treated us like their real sons and daughters,” a participant commented, adding “They not only let us stay at their home, but also tried their best to show us various aspects of culture, knowledge and wisdom of their life”.

Ambassador Watanabe encouraged the participants to channel their experiences to their future, expressing the Embassy’s readiness to help them connect to Japan.
