COMILLA: Authorities of Comilla University have shutdown all activities of the university for indefinite period following a Chhatra League clash that killed one.

The decision was made at an emergency meeting on Monday (August 1) morning.

At the same time, the students have been asked to vacate the halls by 2pm and no class or examination will be held.

Registrar Mojibur Raman Mazumder confirmed the matter to banglanews adding, the varsity has been closed apprehending further clash.

Earlier, two groups of BCL locked into clash centering lighting candle at portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on Sunday midnight, leaving few injured including three bullet wound.

Later bullet injured Saiful was declared dead by doctors after he was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital at 05:10am.
