DHAKA: National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) has formed a special probe committee to investigate the errors of the newly given free textbooks meant for use in national schools this year.

NCTB chairman Narayan Chandra Saha told Banglanews that the committee will submit an amendment-sheet after reviewing how and where the errors had been occurred.

In addition to the new amendments of the errors, the committee will also polish the books, he added. 

The three-member committee convened by NCTB member Kazi Abul Kalam Azad was asked to submit a report within seven working days.

Earlier on January 1, the textbooks were handed over to school students (first grade to ninth grade) across the country that later faced intense criticism because of errors.
