Huge locally-made weapons and iron rods were also recovered in the raids carried out from 10:30 pm Thursday (May 4) to 1:00 am Friday (May 5), said CU Assistant Proctor Mizanur Rahman.

The varsity authority cooperated police to carry out raids at Shah Amanat Hall, Shah Jalal Hall, Alaol Hall, Suhrawardy Hall, A.F. Rahman Hall and Sahid Abdur Rob Hall in the varsity.

On condition of anonymity, an assistant proctor of CU said that the 32 rounds of bullet were found abandoned in the washroom of Shah Amanat Hall.

While trying to contact, Hathazari police station officer-in-charge Belal Uddin could not be reached over the phone.

Earlier, around 3 pm Thursday (May 4), a clash broke out between the followers of CU unit President Alamgir Tipu and followers of general secretary Fazle Rabbi at the university, leaving 7 students injured.
