DHAKA UNIVERSITY: A controversial situation has aroused over allegations of the question paper leak in Dhaka University ‘Gha’ unit admission test held on Friday.

It has been reported that emails containing the English section of today’s ‘Gha’ unit admission test question paper were circulated among students and media around 7-8 hours before the exam. 

However, the university authority said that they are not aware of any such allegations.

The examination was held from 10:00am to 11:00am on Friday morning (Oct 20).

The university authority said there is no possibility of question paper leak earlier at night because the questions are printed in the morning. 
 
Professor Sadeka Halim, acting dean of the Social Science faculty, said the allegation of the leak through email is baseless. Even if it was true, then how come no one has came forward with it before the exam started. 

DU Acting Proctor M Amzad Ali said there is no scope for leak. However, some aspirants were detained from different exam halls for fraudulence during the examination.

The ‘Gha’ unit admission test of DU is the most competitive among other units. A total of 98,054 candidates appeared in the entry test this year against 1,610 seats.
