DHAKA UNIVERSITY: The authority of Dhaka University (DU) banned the sticking of all types of photos, banners and posters on the occasion of observing International Mother Language Day on February 21.

A press release sent from the public relations department of DU said cleaning, painting and decoration works will be started at the campus on Feb 18, as per the decision taken by the central coordination committee for observing Amor Ekushey. In that time, none will be allowed to arrange any program at the shaheed minar.

Everyone has been requested to not attach any photo, poster and banner, with a vow to protect the beauty and solemnity of Amor Ekushey, the releases said further.

However, DU authority asked the sub-committees to observe their responsibly with due sincerity regarding the occasion.
