DHAKA: The quota protesters on Saturday postponed their decision of boycotting examinations at all universities and colleges across the country considering Ramadan and session.

Quota Movement convener Hassan Al Mamun came up with the announcement from a press conference on Dhaka University campus at 12:30 pm.

He also said, “We have postponed the decision for an indefinite period considering the session jam and the ongoing Ramadan.”

Earlier on May 14, joint convener Nurul Haque Noor had declared to carry out their movement of boycotting classes and exams by postponing strike at Shahbagh intersection.

The protesters started their movement on May 14 demanding issuance of a gazette notification abolishing the quota system in government jobs.
