CHITTAGONG: The authorities of Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology (CUET) directed its students to vacant the dormitories.

The male students have been asked to leave by 5pm Tuesday (August 7) and the females by 10am Wednesday (August 8).

The authorities have come up with the decision after the vice chancellor held a meeting with the hall provosts, faculty deans and department heads Tuesday.

The university will keep all academic activities closed from August 7 to August 27 on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, said a press release signed by CUET Registrar Dr Faruq uz Zaman.

The dormitories will remain closed as well, added the release.
