FROM JATIYA SANGSAD BHABAN: Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid said the government will decide within a month on the new MPO enlistment of schools and colleges. 

Exactly how many new educational institutions can be brought under MPO scheme depends on endowment. However, final decision on the matter will be made in a month, the minister said. 

Nurul Islam Nahid made the remarks during the question-answer period of the 22nd parliament session on Sunday afternoon (Sep 16).

Nahid said, “For MPO enlistment, we have already called for online application. We have been asking for funding to the Finance Minister and this time he approved allocation. However, the amount of allocation is not known yet.”

In response to a question about nationalizing educational institutions by Begum Sanjida Khanam, the minister also said the government has already nationalized schools and colleges of the districts that previously did not had none.
