CU BCL men withdraw strike

CHATTOGRAM: The agitating section of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) activists of Chittagong University (CU) has withdrawn their indefinite strike called demanding resignation of proctor for filing case against them.

Enamul Haque, former vice president of Chhatra League of CU, withdrew the strike around 3:00pm on Monday (April 8), on the second day of strike.

He said the strike has been withdrawn as the Vice-Chancellor assured us to meet our demands.

Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Iftekhar Uddin Chowdhury told Banglanews that I had talked to the protesting students. I assured them to meet their demands. They will call of their strike.

Tension prevailed on the campus, and no classes or examinations were held today due to the BCL strike.
