 JnU student suspended for mugging

JnU: The authorities of Jagannath University (JnU) suspended its another student for his alleged involvement in mugging and assaulting a female student.

University’s public relations unit on Thursday (May 9) issued a press release regarding the matter. 

According to the press release, a female student along with her friends went to visit Bahadur Shah (Victoria) park when Mirajul Islam along two others assaulted and snatched away valuables from them.

He was suspended as after a primary investigation their involvement was found which is contradictory with the discipline of the university, it added.

They were asked to provide written explanation within seven days as to why they won’t be expelled permanently.

Earlier on April 24, the university authorities suspended two students ---Fahim Ahmed Khan alias Ratul Shahriar of Statistics department and Mirazul Islam Marur of Geography and Environment department on the same charge.
