DHAKA UNIVERSITY: Ruling Awami League backed ‘Ganatantrik Oikya Parishad’ ensured a landslide victory in the Dhaka University registered graduates senate committee elections.

AL backed aspirants won 18 representatives while opposition BNP-backed Jatiyatabadi Parishad bagged seven seats.

Professor Dr Shahid Akhtar Hossain (Pro Vice Chancellor- Administration) announced the results of the polls on Sunday evening.

The polls, for 25 representatives of registered graduates, were held in different centers on Saturday on university campus.
