All accused in Fahad murder case temporarily expelled:  BUET VC BUET Vice Chancellor Prof Saiful Islam at the meeting

BUET:  BUET Vice Chancellor Prof Saiful Islam said all the 19 accused of the Abrar murder case were temporarily expelled from the university.

Prof Saiful Islam came up with the announcement while holding a meeting with the representatives of agitating students at the BUET Auditorium on Friday (October 11).

BUET VC also declared ban on all types of organizational politics of teachers and students as per authority of the chancellor.

The meeting began with a minute of silence in remembrance of murdered student Abrar Fahad at 5:30 pm.

The talks are being held with 15, 16, 17, and 18 batches of BUET students. They came up with 10-point demand including death penalty for killers.

Abrar Fahad, aged 21, a student of electrical and electronic engineering department at BUET, was tortured to death reportedly by BCL leaders at Sher-e-Bangla Hall of the university on October 7.

He was found dead on the staircase of the dormitory early Monday.
