JAHANGIR UNIVERSITY:  At least 35 injured as Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) men of Jahangirnagar University (JU) unit attacked the protesting teachers and students at the campus.

The incident happened at around 11 pm on Tuesday (November 5).

The injured including journalists were admitted to JU medical center.

According to the latest report, protesters were seen chanting slogans in the wake of the attack in front of VC’s residence. However, BCL leaders and activists positioned themselves close to protesters. 

The protesters surrounded Vice Chancellor Professor Farzana Islam’s residence since Monday evening (November 4) demanding her resignation.
