A two-day 'STS Simulation Training Course' began for the first time of the country's history at Bangladesh Marine Academy at Anwara upazila in Chattogram on Wednesday.

Country's largest business conglomerate Bashundhara Group and EXMAR (Belgium) jointly organised the programme. 

A number of master mariners are participating in the course.

Indis's Pace Marine Solutions PVt Limited Managing Director Captain Pawan Kumar Gupta, Chief Operating Officer Saurabh Kumar and Exmar Shipmanagement bv Marine and STS Superintendent Captain Adarsha Agarwal are condunting the course at the academy simulation centre.

The Academy Commandant Sajid Hussain attended the introductory session of the course while Bashundhara International Shipping General Manager Engr Mahmud Naser, Exmar Head of Ship Management Sachin Mohan and Bashundhara Water Wing Manager (Technical) MarEngr Ashik Imran were present among others.
