Band singer Enamul Kabir Rebel was arrested with crystal meth, commonly known as ice, from Dhaka's Rampura area on Friday night.

The arrested singer is Enamul Kabir Rebel, singer of Uchcharon Band, police said.

Rebel and one of his accomplices were arrested by the Rampura Thana police, said officer-in-charge (OC) Moshiur Rahman to Banglanews on Saturday (April 27) morning.
 
He said that Rebel was arrested based on secret information around 6 pm yesterday. During the operation, one kg of crystal meth was recovered from him. 

The estimated market value of which is Tk 1 crore, he added.

Rebel was a member of popular band artiste Popguru Azam Khan's group, police said.
