DHAKA: As in the previous years, Hatekhari Jatiya Parshad will arrange a festival of ‘hatekhari’ on the premises of Liberation War Museum in city’s Segun Bagicha area.

‘Hatekhari’ is a traditional festival arranged for the beginning of a child’s learning and is celebrated at their house.

Eminent cultural personality Ramendu Majumdar and litterateur Selina Hossain will be present as teachers to teach the children at the festival ground.

The inaugural program, to be chaired by Kamal Lohani, will also be attended by artist Hashem Khan and professor Mahfuza Khanam as guests.

Zahedul Ahsan Dipu will deliver welcome speech while Hatekhari Jatiya Parshad joint convener Shahriar Salam will conduct the event.

Parents are requested to bring their children from three years to six years at the festival.
