DHAKA: Country’s one of the popular theatre groups Palakar will celebrate its 12th founding anniversary by arranging theatre shows under the title of ‘Ghate Ghate Palakar’.

The celebration program will begin in the morning on the first day of Bangla New Year that falls on April 14.

On this occasion, the group will arrange a journey by boat from city’s Sadarghat area to Sonargaon historical city.

On their way to Sonargaon, Palakar members will stage one of its well-acclaimed plays ‘Tairalir Buke Mijhu Munsir Pao’, directed by Aminur Rahman Mukul and based on a cartoon by eminent artist Shishir Bhattacharjee.

The group will stage the play at several places including Mayadweep and the village Subarna.

Aminur Rahman Mukul, Aniket Pal, Ajay Das, Selim Haidar, Golam Shafiq, Kazi Faysal, Swapna Jewel, Fahmida Shishir, Sharmimala, Ashikur Rahman, Yusuf Shubha, Liakat Liku and Faruk Sansi will perform in the play.

Nahrin, Abani, Pranab Das, Zahid, Imran, Badshah, Tapash Topu, Riaz, Nuri Shah, Roud, Aritra, Ovi, Rony and others will also be in the cast.

Sudatta Chakrabarti Paban and Ajay Das will be responsible for music compositions of the play.
