DHAKA: Star Cineplex arranged the Dhaka-premiere of one of the latest Hollywood movies ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’ in 3D at its halls at Bashundhara City Shopping Mall on Panthapath.

The show was held Tuesday evening.

It will be screened at 10:50am, 1:40pm, 3:30pm, 4:30pm and 7:20pm from Friday onwards.

The Cineplex will also screen the 2D version of the movie at 4:15pm and 7:00pm.

This action, adventure and fantasy blockbuster sequel was internationally released on April 16 and scheduled to be released on May 2 in the United States.

‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’ (released as ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2: Rise of Electro in some markets) is an American superhero film featuring the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man, directed by Marc Webb and released by Columbia Pictures.

Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Campbell Scott, Embeth Davidtz, Colm Feore, Paul Giamatti and Sally Field star the movie.

It serves as a sequel to the 2012 film ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ and was announced in 2011. The studio hired James Vanderbilt to write the screenplay and Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci to re-write it.
