DHAKA: A tree-day ‘Chashi Nabanna Utsab’ highlighting the traditional harvest festival of farmers will be begun from November 20.

Some 35 stalls will be setup at the festival which will remain open from 7:00am to 8:00pm till November 22 at Ramna Batamul.

Banglanews24.com and Dhaka FM are the media partners at the festival to be sponsored Square Food and Beverages.

Square Food and Beverages marketing manager Imtiaz Firoz was talking to journalists at a press conference at Dhaka Reporters’ Unity (DRU) in city on Wednesday.

He told the journalists that the initiative has been taken to involve the urban people with the country’s centuries-old tradition.

The organizers will arrange cultural programs and display of traditional foods.

The programs will include traditional puppet show, bioscope and merry-go-round. It will also include recitation of punthi, baul songs, snake charming and lathi khela.

Showbiz Entertainment executive director Mehedi Hasan and chief executive officer (CEO) Fahmida Anwar Munni, among others, were also present at the press conference.
