DHAKA: The maiden version of ‘Cocacola-Channel-i Band Fest’ will be held on the television channel’s premises in city’s Tehgaon area.

A total of 16 music bands will participate in the daylong festival on December 1.

The festival will begin at 11:05am and continue till 5:00pm.

The band groups will include Uchcharan, Different Touch, Obscure, Prometheus, Ark, Bay of Bengal, Tirandaj, Chirkut, Dalchhut, Black, Artcell, LRB, Shunno, Radio Active, Parthib and Joler Gaan.

Channel-i director Shykh Siraj informed the media at a press conference at the channel’s office on Wednesday.

He said that music played an important role in upholding the spirit of country’s independence.

He also assured that the festival will regularly be held in every year.

Cocacola Bangladesh director Shadab Ahmed Khan, Symphony Mobile’s Rezaunul Haque and band superstar Ayub Bachchu, among others, were present at the conference.

Channel-i will telecast the festival live.
