DHAKA: A 33-member troupe of popular Gansu Opera House from China is set to visit Dhaka for performing here for six days.

The artistes will present soirees and participate in an exhibition on the historic Silk Road to be held from January 31 to February 5, 2015 at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in city’s Segun Bagicha area.

Ministry of Cultural Affairs, Chinese embassy in Dhaka, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy and Bangladesh-China Friendship Centre (BCFC) will jointly organize the event.

BCFC president M Delwar Hossain informed the media at National Press Club in city on Thursday.

Delwar Hossain said the programs will be organized as a part of the celebration of the 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Bangladesh and China.
