DHAKA: Suffering from cancer, Ekushey Padak and National Film Award winner noted film maker Chashi Nazrul Islam’s health turned critical again.

Akram Hossain, Doctor attending to him said that the condition of the 76-year-old director, admitted to Lab Aid Hospital in the capital for last couple of weeks, is fluctuating.

The eminent film maker, however, is now at the ICU (intensive care unit) of the hospital.

Chashi Nazrul Islam, who went home from hospital a few days ago, had to admit again on December 31.

Her younger daughter Anni Islam, regarding the matter, said that her father is being given chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

She, moreover, urged countrymen to pray for the renowned director.
