DHAKA: Theatre group Palakar will stage one of its critically acclaimed plays ‘Narigon’ at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in city’s Segun Bagicha area.

‘Narigon’, written by Syed Shamsul Haq and directed by Ataur Rahman, presents the hear-breaking incidents in the palace after the death of Siraj-ud-Daulah, the last Nawab of Bengal, following his defeat to the British colonial power in the Battle of Plassy in 1757.

The untold sufferings of female folk in the palace are also narrated in the play along with the cruelty of winning forces.

The 12th show of the play will be held at 6:30pm on February 15 at the Experimental Theatre Hall of the academy.
