DHAKA: A Dhaka court on Tuesday placed film actor Helal Khan on a two-day remand in a case filed with city’s Badda Thana.

Metropolitan Magistrate Sabrina Ali passed the remand order in the afternoon after Detective Branch of police (DB) produced him before the court with a 10-day remand plea.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police ADC (Prosecution) Anisur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Earlier on Monday afternoon, plain-clothed police detained him from city’s Johnson Road area.

Actor Helal Khan is also involved in activities of Jatiyatabadi Samajik Sangskritik Sangathan (Jasas), the cultural wing of BNP.
