DHAKA: Russian Centre of Science and Culture in Dhaka will organize an eight-day festival of war movies to mark 70th anniversary of Victory in Great Patriotic War of Russian People.

The organizers will screen 10 films during the festival, to begin from March 6, at its auditorium on Road no 7 in city’s Dhanmondi area.

Everyday the screening will begin at 11:00am and open to all.

The movie ‘The Fought for Their Motherland’ will be screened on the inaugural day on March 6 and ‘The Cranes Are Flying’ on March 13.

The organizers will screen ‘Destiny Of A Man’ on March 20, ‘Ballad Of A Soldier’ on March 27 and ‘The Hot Snow’ on April 3.

‘The Dawns Here Are Quiet Part 1’ and ‘The Dawns Here Are Quiet Part 2’ will be screened on April 10 and ‘The Star’ on April 17.

On April 24, the concluding day of the festival, the organizers will screen two movies ‘The Battle For Berlin’ and ‘The Last Assault’.
